The site, operational 24/7 (www.ecode.com) consisted of more than 250
pages, done mostly in JavaScript or VBScript, supporting over 150,000 users.
Other responsibilities included Quality Assurance and internal
network operations. Company ran
out of funding -- “dot.gone”.

Defined and directed the software development of AQUARIS, a
NT-based, 3-tier, thin client system of application suites.
Parts of the applications are accessed directly via the Intranet.
The database was implemented on Sybase.
Made weekly presentations to executive staff.

operating instructions for quality systems.
Developed material for in-house courses and conducted general
Quality Process classes at all sites, world wide.

Director, Operations
Contributed to the turnaround of the $120 million Video VLSI
division. Managed 700 employees
in Product Development and Manufacturing.
Overcame a preconceived bias that consolidating three
semiconductor facilities into one was not feasible. The task was accomplished with minimal effect on product
delivery, resulting in: increased yields (from 83% to 92%), reduced cycle
time (by 44%), and decreased manufacturing costs (by 24%). Profitability was realized for the first time in five years.
Established procedures and a philosophy that resulted in the
release of 30 long awaited military and commercial products.
Zilog made its first profit in ten years. Responsibilities included
design, application software, development/support software, product
engineering, test engineering, and the UNIX-based computing center (multiple
networked mainframes and work stations) with an organization of 140
employees.
